Meredith Kline was the professor at Westminster Seminary in California who helped and shaped my thinking more than any other. Here’s an example of his hands-on approach to instruction.
Since we’ll be talking a lot about suffering in this blog, I thought I should mention how helpful Kline is on this subject. A picture is worth a thousand words and those rings around my neck will last a lifetime.

Hi Bill, what a great picture. I posted a comment before but I’m not sure that it went through. Is that Lee and Misty at the table? It also kind of looks like Dave VanDrunen. Are you guys all settled into Kansas now? Hope all is well and I look forward to reading your blog.

Yep, that’s Lee and Misty at the table, laughing at my suffering and making no move to help. I’m not sure who the third person is.
It could be David Van Drunen. It also looks a bit like Mark Abinante. The guy in the background looks like Jeff Ju, but again I have no clear recollection.
Lack of blood flow to the brain affects the memory, you know.
In a later post I’ll probably get around to telling the story of how that picture came to be.
